Labor Day Holiday Refuse Collection Schedule

WATERBURY, CT – The City of Waterbury Bureau of Refuse is reminding residents that there will be changes to the regular trash and recycling collection schedule in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 7, 2026.

The following schedule will be in effect:

• Monday, September 7: No trash or recycling collection. Monday’s regular collection will take place on Tuesday, September 8.
• Tuesday, September 8: Tuesday’s regular collection will take place on Wednesday, September 9.
• Wednesday, September 9: Regular collection schedule resumes.

The Mark Lane Transfer Facility will also be closed on Saturday, September 5, and will reopen on Tuesday, September 8, at 7:00 a.m.

Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and make any necessary arrangements for trash and recycling disposal around the holiday schedule.
